TVXQ! Unit?

After TVXQ's stop in actions in Japan, Jejung- Junsu- and Yuchun
signed a separate contract with their Japanese agency, A-vex.

Many people wondered why they signed a contract without
SM Entertainment and I started wondering -
'Is this the right way?' 'Will this help them into gathering as a group once again?'

After all that wondering and questions, I got up to an answer.
I don't think it will solve the problems with their Korean agency but
there was one definite answer why they did this.

TVXQ's contract between A-vex and SM Entertainment was to be ended this coming June.
Since 3 members; Jejung, Yuchun, and Junsu sued the agency, this suing would have interfered with their Japanese life as Tohoshinki. (TVXQ's Japanese name)

Then why did they sign this?

If this suing problem doesn't end by this coming June,
TVXQ or Tohoshinki will not be able to work in Japan.
At least.. not those three.

Before suing SM Entertainment,
Jejung, Junsu, Yuchun, Yunho, Changmin --all five of them were connected with SM.
What ever income TVXQ got from singing or acting,
all of the money went to SM Entertainment -- this is when they are in Korea.

Now, if they earned money in Japan, all the money went to A-vex.
Then parts went to 'SM Japan'. Finally it went to SM Korea and finally came back to TVXQ.

Since 3 members sued SM Entertainment,
in order to sing in Japan as before, they had to sign a new contract with A-vex
without SM Entertainment.

Since they signed a whole new contract with A-vex without their
Korean agency, the money they earn goes to A-vex and then comes right away back to them.
Maybe that might have been the case, but as a fan, I don't think that they did that just to earn more money than they made in Korea.

Just because TVXQ is not working as a whole right now...
they are a team and they are a family to each other.
Not one can replace another.

There are a lot of rumors spreading, saying that Changmin and Yunho
betrayed Junsu, Yuchun, and Jejung and went to SM Entertainment.
However.. SM Entertainment found out that TVXQ was planning to sue the company.
So they thought that if.. if they make Changmin and Yunho; the youngest and the leader,
sign a contract separately, they won't be able to leave the company.

So what they did was, they made Yunho sign a contract with a Korean drama
and a all-time model for a clothing company, Evisu.
As for Changmin, Changmin had to also sign a contract doing a Korean drama.

If Yunho and Changmin left the company, they would have had to cancel
all of the contracts they made separate with TVXQ and they would have had
to pay a lot, a lot of money as an 'apology.'

This was why these two couldn't help the other three in suing their Korean agency.
Now that these three members- Junsu, Yuchun, and Jejung
signed a contract with A-vex they are now able to freely sing in Japan.

They became a unit and A-vex is planning to open a concert for this unit
this upcoming summer in Tokyo dome, where TVXQ promised each other to stand on stage.
Tokyo Dome is a place where only the top, top, top singers in Japan are able to open a concert because it is so big that it is hard to gather all the fans and also.. this place is expensive.

Through this separate contract,
public will think that Junsu, Yuchun, and Jejung has now completely
betrayed their Korean agency, SM Entertainment.

By looking at only the news and not TVXQ's side no one will know.
But as for Korean fans, Cassiopeia we are all waiting for them.
Always keep the faith!

by the ways...

Jejung signed a paper for his fan club asking fans to wait with them until everything gets fine.

Solo artists vs Groups

Last week or so, Korea's famous pop star Rain and Lee Hyo Ri made a successful come-back. Even though they were successful, it was only the first week, so people got curious. Will they be able to receive more love than those group artists?

For an example, a group named B2ST is on a roll right now. Though it wasn't a long time since their debut, they have been able to make a successful career up to now and they are starting to gain more fame and maybe they will be able to win other groups that has debuted a long time before them.

Sure, Rain and Lee Hyo Ri is really known well and is known as 'successful' in Korea. If you take Rain's case, people say he is a world wide star, but I'm not sure about that ^^;. Anyway, he has been loved by a lot of people not only Asia but also America. He was also the main character in the movie, Ninja Assassin. Though that movie wasn't a big hit nor very famous, Koreans were proud of him because that was a movie took in Hollywood!

Like this, Rain was very successful and Lee Hyo Ri, who was the leader of an old pop group, Pinkles is also very successful. She has been very well known due to her cool and tough personality that helped her to be a very good entertainer and she was able to know a lot of other celebrities. Maybe this was the reason she was able to make famous celebrities help her promote her song and make them to sing a featuring in her songs.

Her new song is a bit different from her other songs because her other songs were all very 'dancy', bouncy, and thrilling. On the other hand, her new song Rocking Chair or Swing (Geu-Nae) is in a very different genre. Instead of its thrilling taste, it's in between dance style music and ballad. I'll leave it to your imaginations.

I personally wish that these two singers will be very successful being much more successful than other groups' new songs. For an example, After school's new song, Bang is very bouncy and it is kept in people's head. Though Lee Hyo Ri nor Rain's new songs are not like this, it has the need to be well known to other people as well because it has been a really long time since their "come back" on air.

Unlike the singers who come out on music programs, they will be part of the very few singers that come out alone without anyone else. Though Rain was alone since his debut, as said before, Lee Hyo Ri was part of the most famous girl K-pop groups in the 1900s. Thus, it may not have been a smooth road to her, she has been very successful and I cheer for her to let people think that she has a lot of capabilities in other areas too.

Take over the market Hyo Ri and Rain!

TVXQ, what is the reality?

A few days ago, from the release of TVXQ's new single album, Tokiotomete, TVXQ broke a new record in the Japanese Oricon chart in 31 years!

They were the first foreign boy band who held first place in the daily oricon chart for 8 days! On the day of the release, over 12 million copies were sold. This made the news flame up, but just yesterday another big issue came up on the news.

As said before, due to Jun Su, Je jung, Yu chun suing their Korean company, SM Entertainment they are no longer able to be active in Korea by the name of TVXQ. Even this was a big depression to both TVXQ and TVXQ fans, but now their Japanese company, AVEX Entertainment had also stopped TVXQ from being active in Japan as a group but working alone was okay.

Not only this but the Japanese TVXQ fan club, Big East is in danger as well. The fan club site said that by the end of April, they will announce whether they will keep the fan club going on or abolish the fan club.

This was a big issue and this made fans very curious because everything was going on well; they broke a new record in Japan; Junsu is doing a musical; Jejung, Yuchun, Changmin, a drama; Yunho performing at the tribute concert of Michael Jackson with world wide celebrities in Europe.

Maybe the reason is that many people think that the reason of those twosome and trios is because of their different ideas but reality was different. Where ever these 5 people went out on TV, they all said that TVXQ was their family and they can't live without them. Then why did they divide up?

Changmin and Yunho probably stayed in Korea because they thought that if at least one member stays back, their group will be able to survive through all of this chaos. On the other hand, Jejung, Yuchun, and Junsu thought that it was right to find back their rights of being a super star.

TVXQ and SM Entertainment made a contract saying that if TVXQ sells more than 50 million copies, they will receive more than half of the money they earned by selling it. When TVXQ came back to Korea in 2008, they sold more than 50 million copies but in the end, they got only less than 20% of their earnings. They had only 3 days of vacation every year, and their average sleeping time was only 2 hours! Even though they are the most famous pop group in Korea and one of the most famous pop groups in Asia, the reality was that TVXQ was treated as a money-giving-machine.

I understand TVXQ's situation, and I strongly support them. I hope the win this 'game' and actually live a happy life!!

p.s. During a magazine interview, when the interviewer asked Yuchun what he wanted to do, Yuchun said, "I want to be happy because I was never happy lately." This was and is the reality of TVXQ and I hope they cheer up.
