Tribute of Michael Jackson, This Is It in Korea

Above is a video of Beat It, which was performed yesterday by Yunho from TVXQ.

Yunho was chosen to dance and perform at Korea's, 'The Tribute of Michael Jackson with the This Is It crew.' The people who chose him and asked him to be 'Michael Jackson' in the concert said that they chose him because he really seemed like he was enjoying dancing and because they felt the heat of TVXQ's concert just by watching Yunho's videos.

There will be a concert that will be held in Europe with Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and world wide singers and the producers asked Yunho to once again perform at that concert as well and he would be the ONLY Asian becoming part of the main performance team.

His fellow members couldn't all come because they were busy but Changmin came to his concert and because of his appearance, fans got crazy and thus the concert had to start about 30 minutes later than the schedule.
Because TVXQ's performance is going to be almost rare for a while in Korea, fans wanted to go to this concert badly but because of the high price tickets, most couldn't go. Since there were a lot of Michael Jackson's fans, fans thought that Michael Jackson's fans will want to go badly, so TVXQ fans didn't buy the tickets much but as a result, the place this concert was held at was about 30% empty.
I felt bad for Yunho and I still really want to go because today is the last day in Korea (only two days :[ ) but the concert starts at around 6:30 PM. I guess more celebrities would come to today's performance and I wish they all enjoyed the concert and weren't annoyed by the fans.
The overall view of the concert by critics was fairly good and I really appreciate that because Yunho could't practice that much because he went to Los Angles to practice in the beginning of March and he was sick enough to go to the emergency room.
Critics said that he almost perfectly presented Michael Jackson's dances and I think he was able to because Michael Jakson was his role model since he was young, so he watched Michael Jackson's videos A LOT.
Last of all, I really want to congratulate him by the fact that he was chosen at two Michael Jackson concerts. I hope he successfully finishes it!

DBSK's 26th single, Break Out!

TVXQ's 26th single, Break Out was a big success; sold over 10 million copies in 1 day.

Though they got a bad reputation because 3 members sued their company for an unrealistic contractwith their company and people said they shouldn't do that to a company that made them famous. On the internet news of this single, almost 1000 Koreans commented on them and except for a few people, everyone else (even people that are NOT fans) complimented them saying how much they were proud of them.

DBSK is a very successful group that has been recorded on the Guinness Book of Records 3 times for having the biggest fan club(over 80million), had the most pictures taken, and rode the most flights. Due to this single, they were on the Korea's most biggest newspaper comopany, 'Joong Ahng Il Bo' for being chosen as the most famous/ popular foreign singer(s) in Japan.
-------------------------------
The
music video(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpT8PYb7Fwo)
of this song has a lot of meanings.

1.In the beginning, there is a mask on the wall where Yuchun comes out and you can see that this mask becomes 5 different people. This mask is their 'actual' appearance but by becoming 'humanized' shows people are giving pressure to DBSK.

2.It seems like it is DBSK's first time in this place and Junsu looks around the place.

3.Now those 5 people that came out before surround these 5 members and it soon is close to Yuchun.

4.The 2 kids are staying still but when Yuchun smiles, these two kids start to shake their head and this probably means that though they don't seem as if they don't like this place, they hate this place and they are warning Yuchun that this place is dangerous.

5.When Jejung starts singing, a lot of arms stop him from leaving this 'dungeon'.

6.A woman comes out and she seems as if she is trying to help DBSK.

7. Now a spider comes down and lands on Yunho's hand, but it suddenly disappears. This means that DBSK is out of pressure and when Yunho grips clenches his fist, this means that he has more confidence and believes that he can get out of this place.

8. When the woman appears again smiling and people's faces appear and disappears quickly, this means that they have hope in escaping this place.

9. Now a grandfather comes and Jejung starts walking back. This grandfather is actually the future Junsu and when he says 'Break Out', he is telling DBSK to get out of this place.

10. Then, Jejung is finally out of this place and because those 5 people couldn't harm DBSK, they turn back to the mask.
-----------------------
The pressure in this PV is showing the pressure they got and are still receiving from their company and they are trying to break out of that pressure.

I REALLY hope and I know they will be able to be free again if their fans help them and trust them!

I'm Sorry, I Did Wrong

A famous Korean ballad group, 2AM's new song, "Jal mot haet suh (I'm sorry, I did wrong)" was also a big issue. Unlike the previous songs and albums of 2AM, their repackage album of "Juk uh doh mot bo nae (Even if I die I won't let you go)"' s song is "I'm sorry, I did wrong"'s genre is dance, instead of ballad.

Though their challenge was good, I don't think it was as successful as the title song, "Even If I Die I Won't Let You Go" because their dance... was... not right...

Their first dance song, "Uh Teok Hah Jo (What Should I Do)"'s dance was really cute, but their new song, "I'm Sorry, I Did Wrong" is not cute neither sexy.

Their dance is just comical, as I see it. It doesn't have any significant point such as sexy or cute and the members act as if they are zombies, which aren't 2AM's reputation towards people.

As you can see above, their album jacket pictures have been changed a lot, their first album had an image of very cute, eager to receive love, new singers but now they turned their image to sexy, but I don't think it was that much successful.

Their fans, IAM, was very proud of their new challenge and are cheering them on, but besides them, the song itself is good, but other people that are not fans thought of this songs as 'unfit' after they saw their dances.

I think they started a new challenge because they received a whole bunch of love and are known to be the best ballad group to dance.

Overall, I'm proud of them too but I wish they did a genre that fit them well. I loved their "Even If I Die, I Won't Let You Go" so I wish they did more songs like this.

Run Devil Run

Girl's generation's new song, "Run Devil Run" was an issue because the song's melody was bought from an American pop singer, Ke$ha. The song begins with a cracking sound which is the same as their CM song, "Chocolate Love". I thought that this song used "Chocolate Love" but I later found out that this song was bought from an American singer.

Their concept for "Oh!" was jocky, cheerleader, cheering people but this song's concept is sexy.

By the picture, you can see that they focused on the color, black to emphasize their sexiness.

Many people didn't like this songs because it was bought, but a lot of people like this song too because they came out really sexy and it was different from their other albums.

Their first album, "Girl's Generation" had a concept of cute and little girls, the second album, "Baby Baby"'s concept was also cute and the song, Kissing You's concept was also cute. Thus, all the other albums except for the current album "Oh!, Run Devil Run" were all focused on girlish cute people but now, they are showing that they all grew up.

The youngest member of the group, Seohyun just graduated high school, so now all of this members are adults and no longer 'girls' but women.

The fans of Girls Generation (SNSD), So one (wish) are made up of mostly men and boys, but now a lot of girls like them too because of their good personality. On TV programs, they come out as really funny and honest girls, so that's probably the reason why both genders like them now.

Honestly, they actually are REALLY pretty and though their singing capability is not perfect, as new albums and songs came out, I was able to see that they improved by a lot and they have been practicing really hard.

However, the one part I'm very sad about is that one of their member, Hyo Yeon is an awesome dancer but because her appearance is not as pretty as the other members, she gets pointed at and a lot of people don't like her. Unlike other people, I really like her because she has skills and actually knows how to 'really' dance.

I hope their new song, "Run Devil Run" gets a really good result! Good Luck!
