Super Junior!!!!! the world ranked them as 7th!

Super Junior!!!!! the world ranked them as 7th!

Wonder what this is saying? What it means?

Never heard of 'Media Traffic'? Media Traffic is a site which arranges all the world charts including the American bill board, Japanese oricon chart, and England's UK chart. Super Junior's 4th album (which you know.. if you have been reading my blog!) was released on the 13th of May and the repackage album came out on the 20th. In such a short time, Super Junior was able to sell 75,000 copies. Awesome.. right? Tvxq was able to rank first but Korea didn't notify this to Koreans.

I know that Super Junior is awesome and stuff but they won't be able to follow TVXQ. Not only them but nor any other Korean boy bands including 2PM, Big Bang, and SHINee. Korean critics are saying that Big Bang is right behind TVXQ's tail but no way. TVXQ sold 500,000 copies of their Korean 4th album in the first month of their release.

Anyway, I'm sorry I got off track! As Koreans were able to know this fact, that Super Junior was ranked 7th place, all of their reflections were the same: wow, just as I expected, and more. Super Junior's fans, E.L.F. are awesome too. Before even their album release, fans ordered over 25,000 copies and this was also an issue.

As you can see here, Korean fans are different from foreign fans (by the exception of fans of Korean artists.) When foreign fans only go and cheer for their favorite singers at concerts or when they are on stage, Korean fans follow them where ever they go, give food to them and the staffs of a program they are on. Furthermore, Koreans have this competition from other fans. They HAVE to get a higher rank than them, especially if that singer debuted much later.

Maybe this is why Super Junior's fans and TVXQ's fans are so aggressive, and maybe this is why Super Junior's fans and TVXQ's fans are so close. I hope the world can notice the efforts of Korean singers and at least listen to their songs once.

Super Junior's FIFA World Cup cheer song

I think this is a really awesome song! :) The real post is below this video.

Famous Korean singers challenge their skills!

[2AM singing 2010 FIFA World cup theme song- subtitles in English]

As many singers all over the world challenged for the 2010 FIFA world cup song, many Koreans made songs for it as well! There are various singers who sang for this album. The music video I included here is Number 1 sung by 2AM, who is a famous ballad group in Korea. The music video's concept is 'cute' and 'comfort' to Korean soccer fans.

Ever since Korea was able to go until the top 4, Koreans became huge soccer fans. The 2010 FIFA World Cup is coming up and starting on June 11th.

As you can see in the subtitles, 2AM is saying that we should cheer each other on and don't forget that it's only a 'game.' So don't care if you lose or not and we are same under humanity; gender, race, ethnicity, region don't matter.

I really love how the song is sung with all kinds of tones. The music video is also really cute. 2AM members are currently in America to promote there but they are going to come back to cheer Korea! :)

Like this, Korea has a big spirit for their soccer team. Many think that Koreans won't be able to be in the top 16 teams because we start of with really tough teams. The Republic of Korea is in group B with Argentina, Nigeria, and Greece. As many know all three of them are really good teams and they have a lot of experience but if you go to the ROK's FIFA World Cup page, the comments really touched me. All over the world... soccer fans said they will cheer on for Korea and really encouraged our teammates. On the other side, I was disappointed in other countries in group B for not cheering Korea but actually saying that they won't be able to beat their country.

Still many soccer fans encouraged our team and I really hope Korea makes a knockdown stage! Dae~ Han ~ Min Guk! clap clap clap clap!

[Teaser]Wonder Girls_2 Different Tears

Wonder Girl's New Album Release

left to right: So Hee, Ye Eun, Sun Ye, Yoo Bin, Sun Mi

It's been over than 1 year, almost 2 years since Wonder Girls released an album in Korea because they have been performing in the States. A few days ago their new album's title song's teaser came out and it was also an issue. One member of the team named Sun Mi came out of the team and a Chinese girl joined the team. May argued that she didn't fit in that group and honestly, I really don't like the fact that she joined the team because it was so used to seeing Sun Mi performing with them!

starting on the left: Yoo Bin, So Hee, Sun Ye, Ye Eun, Hyo Rim.

It's pretty awkward without Sun Mi on the team because it doesn't make Wonder Girls seem Wonder Girls without the member since the beginning. Before, one another member of the team, Hyun Ah went out of the team and Yoo Bin joined the team but Yoo Bin really fit in the team well and the teammates enjoyed performing with her so everyone liked the fact the Yoo Bin was on the team but this case was different.

First album (w/o Yoo Bin, w/ Hyun Ah)
Top: Sun Ye, Ye Eun
Middle: So Hee, Hyun Ah
Bottom: Sun Mi

That time, it was during their first album so not many were used to the 5 of them but now that they are on their 3rd album, people got used to the 5 of them- Sun Mi, Sun Ye, Yoo Bin, So Hee, and Ye Eun. If you go to daum or naver, "Korea's Google", it represents the team members as- Sun Ye, Yoo Bin, So Hee, Ye Eun, and Hyo Rim but... it doesn't really make sense because they REALLY don't look good together.

Hyo Rim doesn't really fit well in the team because of her looks, Hyo Rim has a cute face while Wonder Girls represent the word, 'sexy'.

Still, I like their new song, so I wish this new album release will be as successful as the previous ones!

(Above this post is the teaser)

Super Junior's sexy comeback

SUPER JUNIOR!!!! COME BACK~
Super Junior is a group made up of 13 members, Han Kyung, Si won, Lee Teuk, Shin Dong, Hee Chul, Eun Hyuk, Dong Hae, Ryu Wook, Yae Sung, Sung Min, Ki bum, Gang In, and Kyu Hyun. Unfortunately, Ki Bum stopped his singing career and changed to an actor but fans still call him as a part of Super Junior. Furthermore, Han Kyung sued SM Entertainment (their agency, same agency as TVXQ!) Kang In was sued by the police for defending himself but the CCTV captured him as him hitting other people. This was why Kang In couldn't come out on any music programs since September. Now that Super Junior decided to come back on stage, Kang In decided to go to military for 2 years and when he comes back he will become a part of Super Junior again. Thus, three members were left out of this album and this is why this album features only 10 members!

Their album title song, "Mi Yin Ah [Bo na ma na]" is an electronic fast tempo dance song. It got critics for being similar to the last album's title song, "Sorry, Sorry" but I disagree because "Sorry Sorry" barely gave any parts to Super Junior, but "Bo Na Ma Na" was distributed perfectly.

This song was composed and written by the agency's most used composer, Yoo Young Jin. Yoo Young Jin was also a singer and he wrote many popular songs for TVXQ as well. (Mirotic, Are You a Good Girl?, and more)

Starting on the 14th of May, Super Junior would start coming back on stage lively with their fans and their fans are really excited! Today, the 15th of May, is their 3rd stage of Bo na ma na and their performance is awesome. I hope every one enjoys their new album :)

Xiah's new solo album title, "Intoxication"

Xiah's new song, "Intoxication"'s music video came out on the 4th of May.
It was a big issue because of his performance and because it was his first solo album!
After his big success in the musical, "Mozart!" it was announced that he is currently creating 'his' solo album. The songs listed there are all part of the soundtrack of his fellow TVXQ member, Yuchun's Japanese drama. Though Intoxication is a very different genre from what fans used to hear TVXQ sing, the other song listed in this album is ballad, which is the genre fans were and still are used to! You can say that this song's genre is 'mid-tempo ballad' because it's not a heavy dance song but you can't call it '100% ballad'.

I personally love this song because of Xiah's voice and I ordered it straight from Japan! So it's a bit expensive.. but after I heard the song I thought it was VERY worth the price.

Though this song was a good and good and GOOD.

I was a bit worried of the critics because I think this song's lyrics are way, way, WAY over the limit of the kind of songs teenagers can listen to. Junsu sings it as the lyric is written and his voice is very 'husky', so it makes the song even more 'inappropriate'. If he changed the dance a little bit I think it would have been better but since it's Japanese, I couldn't understand the lyrics before I looked at the translated version so I don't think it would be a problem to foreigners who don't know Japanese well. Overall, I think this song is great and I'm really excited about getting the album! The album is coming out on upcoming 26th. I hope he doesn't get much critics :(

TVXQ! Unit?

After TVXQ's stop in actions in Japan, Jejung- Junsu- and Yuchun
signed a separate contract with their Japanese agency, A-vex.

Many people wondered why they signed a contract without
SM Entertainment and I started wondering -
'Is this the right way?' 'Will this help them into gathering as a group once again?'

After all that wondering and questions, I got up to an answer.
I don't think it will solve the problems with their Korean agency but
there was one definite answer why they did this.

TVXQ's contract between A-vex and SM Entertainment was to be ended this coming June.
Since 3 members; Jejung, Yuchun, and Junsu sued the agency, this suing would have interfered with their Japanese life as Tohoshinki. (TVXQ's Japanese name)

Then why did they sign this?

If this suing problem doesn't end by this coming June,
TVXQ or Tohoshinki will not be able to work in Japan.
At least.. not those three.

Before suing SM Entertainment,
Jejung, Junsu, Yuchun, Yunho, Changmin --all five of them were connected with SM.
What ever income TVXQ got from singing or acting,
all of the money went to SM Entertainment -- this is when they are in Korea.

Now, if they earned money in Japan, all the money went to A-vex.
Then parts went to 'SM Japan'. Finally it went to SM Korea and finally came back to TVXQ.

Since 3 members sued SM Entertainment,
in order to sing in Japan as before, they had to sign a new contract with A-vex
without SM Entertainment.

Since they signed a whole new contract with A-vex without their
Korean agency, the money they earn goes to A-vex and then comes right away back to them.
Maybe that might have been the case, but as a fan, I don't think that they did that just to earn more money than they made in Korea.

Just because TVXQ is not working as a whole right now...
they are a team and they are a family to each other.
Not one can replace another.

There are a lot of rumors spreading, saying that Changmin and Yunho
betrayed Junsu, Yuchun, and Jejung and went to SM Entertainment.
However.. SM Entertainment found out that TVXQ was planning to sue the company.
So they thought that if.. if they make Changmin and Yunho; the youngest and the leader,
sign a contract separately, they won't be able to leave the company.

So what they did was, they made Yunho sign a contract with a Korean drama
and a all-time model for a clothing company, Evisu.
As for Changmin, Changmin had to also sign a contract doing a Korean drama.

If Yunho and Changmin left the company, they would have had to cancel
all of the contracts they made separate with TVXQ and they would have had
to pay a lot, a lot of money as an 'apology.'

This was why these two couldn't help the other three in suing their Korean agency.
Now that these three members- Junsu, Yuchun, and Jejung
signed a contract with A-vex they are now able to freely sing in Japan.

They became a unit and A-vex is planning to open a concert for this unit
this upcoming summer in Tokyo dome, where TVXQ promised each other to stand on stage.
Tokyo Dome is a place where only the top, top, top singers in Japan are able to open a concert because it is so big that it is hard to gather all the fans and also.. this place is expensive.

Through this separate contract,
public will think that Junsu, Yuchun, and Jejung has now completely
betrayed their Korean agency, SM Entertainment.

By looking at only the news and not TVXQ's side no one will know.
But as for Korean fans, Cassiopeia we are all waiting for them.
Always keep the faith!

by the ways...

Jejung signed a paper for his fan club asking fans to wait with them until everything gets fine.

Solo artists vs Groups

Last week or so, Korea's famous pop star Rain and Lee Hyo Ri made a successful come-back. Even though they were successful, it was only the first week, so people got curious. Will they be able to receive more love than those group artists?

For an example, a group named B2ST is on a roll right now. Though it wasn't a long time since their debut, they have been able to make a successful career up to now and they are starting to gain more fame and maybe they will be able to win other groups that has debuted a long time before them.

Sure, Rain and Lee Hyo Ri is really known well and is known as 'successful' in Korea. If you take Rain's case, people say he is a world wide star, but I'm not sure about that ^^;. Anyway, he has been loved by a lot of people not only Asia but also America. He was also the main character in the movie, Ninja Assassin. Though that movie wasn't a big hit nor very famous, Koreans were proud of him because that was a movie took in Hollywood!

Like this, Rain was very successful and Lee Hyo Ri, who was the leader of an old pop group, Pinkles is also very successful. She has been very well known due to her cool and tough personality that helped her to be a very good entertainer and she was able to know a lot of other celebrities. Maybe this was the reason she was able to make famous celebrities help her promote her song and make them to sing a featuring in her songs.

Her new song is a bit different from her other songs because her other songs were all very 'dancy', bouncy, and thrilling. On the other hand, her new song Rocking Chair or Swing (Geu-Nae) is in a very different genre. Instead of its thrilling taste, it's in between dance style music and ballad. I'll leave it to your imaginations.

I personally wish that these two singers will be very successful being much more successful than other groups' new songs. For an example, After school's new song, Bang is very bouncy and it is kept in people's head. Though Lee Hyo Ri nor Rain's new songs are not like this, it has the need to be well known to other people as well because it has been a really long time since their "come back" on air.

Unlike the singers who come out on music programs, they will be part of the very few singers that come out alone without anyone else. Though Rain was alone since his debut, as said before, Lee Hyo Ri was part of the most famous girl K-pop groups in the 1900s. Thus, it may not have been a smooth road to her, she has been very successful and I cheer for her to let people think that she has a lot of capabilities in other areas too.

Take over the market Hyo Ri and Rain!

TVXQ, what is the reality?

A few days ago, from the release of TVXQ's new single album, Tokiotomete, TVXQ broke a new record in the Japanese Oricon chart in 31 years!

They were the first foreign boy band who held first place in the daily oricon chart for 8 days! On the day of the release, over 12 million copies were sold. This made the news flame up, but just yesterday another big issue came up on the news.

As said before, due to Jun Su, Je jung, Yu chun suing their Korean company, SM Entertainment they are no longer able to be active in Korea by the name of TVXQ. Even this was a big depression to both TVXQ and TVXQ fans, but now their Japanese company, AVEX Entertainment had also stopped TVXQ from being active in Japan as a group but working alone was okay.

Not only this but the Japanese TVXQ fan club, Big East is in danger as well. The fan club site said that by the end of April, they will announce whether they will keep the fan club going on or abolish the fan club.

This was a big issue and this made fans very curious because everything was going on well; they broke a new record in Japan; Junsu is doing a musical; Jejung, Yuchun, Changmin, a drama; Yunho performing at the tribute concert of Michael Jackson with world wide celebrities in Europe.

Maybe the reason is that many people think that the reason of those twosome and trios is because of their different ideas but reality was different. Where ever these 5 people went out on TV, they all said that TVXQ was their family and they can't live without them. Then why did they divide up?

Changmin and Yunho probably stayed in Korea because they thought that if at least one member stays back, their group will be able to survive through all of this chaos. On the other hand, Jejung, Yuchun, and Junsu thought that it was right to find back their rights of being a super star.

TVXQ and SM Entertainment made a contract saying that if TVXQ sells more than 50 million copies, they will receive more than half of the money they earned by selling it. When TVXQ came back to Korea in 2008, they sold more than 50 million copies but in the end, they got only less than 20% of their earnings. They had only 3 days of vacation every year, and their average sleeping time was only 2 hours! Even though they are the most famous pop group in Korea and one of the most famous pop groups in Asia, the reality was that TVXQ was treated as a money-giving-machine.

I understand TVXQ's situation, and I strongly support them. I hope the win this 'game' and actually live a happy life!!

p.s. During a magazine interview, when the interviewer asked Yuchun what he wanted to do, Yuchun said, "I want to be happy because I was never happy lately." This was and is the reality of TVXQ and I hope they cheer up.

Tribute of Michael Jackson, This Is It in Korea

Above is a video of Beat It, which was performed yesterday by Yunho from TVXQ.

Yunho was chosen to dance and perform at Korea's, 'The Tribute of Michael Jackson with the This Is It crew.' The people who chose him and asked him to be 'Michael Jackson' in the concert said that they chose him because he really seemed like he was enjoying dancing and because they felt the heat of TVXQ's concert just by watching Yunho's videos.

There will be a concert that will be held in Europe with Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and world wide singers and the producers asked Yunho to once again perform at that concert as well and he would be the ONLY Asian becoming part of the main performance team.

His fellow members couldn't all come because they were busy but Changmin came to his concert and because of his appearance, fans got crazy and thus the concert had to start about 30 minutes later than the schedule.
Because TVXQ's performance is going to be almost rare for a while in Korea, fans wanted to go to this concert badly but because of the high price tickets, most couldn't go. Since there were a lot of Michael Jackson's fans, fans thought that Michael Jackson's fans will want to go badly, so TVXQ fans didn't buy the tickets much but as a result, the place this concert was held at was about 30% empty.
I felt bad for Yunho and I still really want to go because today is the last day in Korea (only two days :[ ) but the concert starts at around 6:30 PM. I guess more celebrities would come to today's performance and I wish they all enjoyed the concert and weren't annoyed by the fans.
The overall view of the concert by critics was fairly good and I really appreciate that because Yunho could't practice that much because he went to Los Angles to practice in the beginning of March and he was sick enough to go to the emergency room.
Critics said that he almost perfectly presented Michael Jackson's dances and I think he was able to because Michael Jakson was his role model since he was young, so he watched Michael Jackson's videos A LOT.
Last of all, I really want to congratulate him by the fact that he was chosen at two Michael Jackson concerts. I hope he successfully finishes it!

DBSK's 26th single, Break Out!

TVXQ's 26th single, Break Out was a big success; sold over 10 million copies in 1 day.

Though they got a bad reputation because 3 members sued their company for an unrealistic contractwith their company and people said they shouldn't do that to a company that made them famous. On the internet news of this single, almost 1000 Koreans commented on them and except for a few people, everyone else (even people that are NOT fans) complimented them saying how much they were proud of them.

DBSK is a very successful group that has been recorded on the Guinness Book of Records 3 times for having the biggest fan club(over 80million), had the most pictures taken, and rode the most flights. Due to this single, they were on the Korea's most biggest newspaper comopany, 'Joong Ahng Il Bo' for being chosen as the most famous/ popular foreign singer(s) in Japan.
-------------------------------
The
music video(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpT8PYb7Fwo)
of this song has a lot of meanings.

1.In the beginning, there is a mask on the wall where Yuchun comes out and you can see that this mask becomes 5 different people. This mask is their 'actual' appearance but by becoming 'humanized' shows people are giving pressure to DBSK.

2.It seems like it is DBSK's first time in this place and Junsu looks around the place.

3.Now those 5 people that came out before surround these 5 members and it soon is close to Yuchun.

4.The 2 kids are staying still but when Yuchun smiles, these two kids start to shake their head and this probably means that though they don't seem as if they don't like this place, they hate this place and they are warning Yuchun that this place is dangerous.

5.When Jejung starts singing, a lot of arms stop him from leaving this 'dungeon'.

6.A woman comes out and she seems as if she is trying to help DBSK.

7. Now a spider comes down and lands on Yunho's hand, but it suddenly disappears. This means that DBSK is out of pressure and when Yunho grips clenches his fist, this means that he has more confidence and believes that he can get out of this place.

8. When the woman appears again smiling and people's faces appear and disappears quickly, this means that they have hope in escaping this place.

9. Now a grandfather comes and Jejung starts walking back. This grandfather is actually the future Junsu and when he says 'Break Out', he is telling DBSK to get out of this place.

10. Then, Jejung is finally out of this place and because those 5 people couldn't harm DBSK, they turn back to the mask.
-----------------------
The pressure in this PV is showing the pressure they got and are still receiving from their company and they are trying to break out of that pressure.

I REALLY hope and I know they will be able to be free again if their fans help them and trust them!

I'm Sorry, I Did Wrong

A famous Korean ballad group, 2AM's new song, "Jal mot haet suh (I'm sorry, I did wrong)" was also a big issue. Unlike the previous songs and albums of 2AM, their repackage album of "Juk uh doh mot bo nae (Even if I die I won't let you go)"' s song is "I'm sorry, I did wrong"'s genre is dance, instead of ballad.

Though their challenge was good, I don't think it was as successful as the title song, "Even If I Die I Won't Let You Go" because their dance... was... not right...

Their first dance song, "Uh Teok Hah Jo (What Should I Do)"'s dance was really cute, but their new song, "I'm Sorry, I Did Wrong" is not cute neither sexy.

Their dance is just comical, as I see it. It doesn't have any significant point such as sexy or cute and the members act as if they are zombies, which aren't 2AM's reputation towards people.

As you can see above, their album jacket pictures have been changed a lot, their first album had an image of very cute, eager to receive love, new singers but now they turned their image to sexy, but I don't think it was that much successful.

Their fans, IAM, was very proud of their new challenge and are cheering them on, but besides them, the song itself is good, but other people that are not fans thought of this songs as 'unfit' after they saw their dances.

I think they started a new challenge because they received a whole bunch of love and are known to be the best ballad group to dance.

Overall, I'm proud of them too but I wish they did a genre that fit them well. I loved their "Even If I Die, I Won't Let You Go" so I wish they did more songs like this.

Run Devil Run

Girl's generation's new song, "Run Devil Run" was an issue because the song's melody was bought from an American pop singer, Ke$ha. The song begins with a cracking sound which is the same as their CM song, "Chocolate Love". I thought that this song used "Chocolate Love" but I later found out that this song was bought from an American singer.

Their concept for "Oh!" was jocky, cheerleader, cheering people but this song's concept is sexy.

By the picture, you can see that they focused on the color, black to emphasize their sexiness.

Many people didn't like this songs because it was bought, but a lot of people like this song too because they came out really sexy and it was different from their other albums.

Their first album, "Girl's Generation" had a concept of cute and little girls, the second album, "Baby Baby"'s concept was also cute and the song, Kissing You's concept was also cute. Thus, all the other albums except for the current album "Oh!, Run Devil Run" were all focused on girlish cute people but now, they are showing that they all grew up.

The youngest member of the group, Seohyun just graduated high school, so now all of this members are adults and no longer 'girls' but women.

The fans of Girls Generation (SNSD), So one (wish) are made up of mostly men and boys, but now a lot of girls like them too because of their good personality. On TV programs, they come out as really funny and honest girls, so that's probably the reason why both genders like them now.

Honestly, they actually are REALLY pretty and though their singing capability is not perfect, as new albums and songs came out, I was able to see that they improved by a lot and they have been practicing really hard.

However, the one part I'm very sad about is that one of their member, Hyo Yeon is an awesome dancer but because her appearance is not as pretty as the other members, she gets pointed at and a lot of people don't like her. Unlike other people, I really like her because she has skills and actually knows how to 'really' dance.

I hope their new song, "Run Devil Run" gets a really good result! Good Luck!

Oh!

A very popular girl group, Girls' Generation's new song, Oh! was another hit.
The song repeats by singing, "Oh oh oh oh oppa reul sa rang hae"
This song is basically saying that I love you.

Their concept is cheerleaders cheering on to their loves.
The group is made up of 8 young girls who dance well, sing well, and are very pretty.

Maybe this is why lots of young and old men are fans of this group.

At first, I didn't like this group because they weren't good at singing and they didn't have any specific color in themselves. They were like others; similar kinds of songs, similar dances, and similar looks. This is why I didn't like them, but as time went by and they showed their 'real-self' on TV by acting as they were not on TV. This was the reason I started to find interest in them.

I really liked their 1st single, Gee.
This song is a bit similar to Oh! because they are also expressing 'surprise'.

They can't be called as the 'best' because even though they have been on air for a few years, it wasn't a long time and they aren't perfect to say 'best' because that is not being humble.

If they keep these skills of dancing and if they become more humble, I think they will become more popular with a lot of interest from girls, too.

Good luck!
